As a senior RE/MAX broker I have been working for 7 years to help my clients find the best property to suit their needs. As a realtor who invests in other markets I know that when I choose and agent I want to know as much as I can about that person. I am originally from Northern Virginia and came to the Outer Banks for the first time as a child when my family built a vacation home in Southern Shores. I always loved the beach and knew that I would settle here one day but I wanted to see the world first. After attending college in Baltimore at The Maryland Institute College of Art I spent some time in Europe traveling and studying Classical Art and Architecture. I lived in New York City for a while as well working in a SoHo Art gallery but found the winters too cold for a permanent home. In 1994 my family and I moved to Charleston S.C. We bought and renovated an incredible antebellum mansion built in 1817. We won numerous awards for historical preservation and my love for an older home was born. I love the world of Real Estate for so many reasons. My main joy in my business has been my relationship with my clients. I take very seriously the responsibility of matching people to their dream property. Because my primary function is as an investment advisor I have educated myself thoroughly about property and how to make money for my clients. This is true even for a year round resident as your primary home can be one of the most important investments you have.
